MICHAEL SCHURKAMP
Michael Ray Schurkamp passed away on Jan. 9, 2015 at his home in Tawas City after a long illness.
At Michael’s request he has been cremated and he will be buried at Fort Custer National Cemetery this spring. The arrangements are being handled by Buresh Funeral Home in East Tawas.

Richard B. Frankhouser, 69, of Fremont, passed away early Sunday morning, Jan. 18, 2015 at Spectrum Health Gerber Memorial in Fremont. 
The funeral service was held on Friday afternoon, Jan. 23 at Fremont Wesleyan Church, with Pastor Mark Slagh officiating.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to the family to help with expenses. “Duty-Honor-Country”. Lyle G. “Buck” Myers, Jr., 89, of Fremont, passed away on Jan. 3, 2015 of complications from Alzheimer’s Disease.

Rev. Charles Fry, 85, of Grand Rapids, died on Jan. 23, 2015 in his home surrounded by his family. 
Visitation will be held on Friday, Jan. 30 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. at Metcalf and Jonkoff Funeral Home at 4291 Cascade Rd. SE in Grand Rapids. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Jan. 31 at 11 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church at 227 Fulton St. SE in Grand Rapids. A private interment will be held at the Big Prairie Township Cemetery of Newaygo County. Memorial gifts should be directed to the First United Methodist Church of Grand Rapids or the Clark Retirement Community Benevolent Fund.

Nora Marie (Bultman) Somers of Grand Rapids, and formerly of Fremont, went to her Eternal Home on Monday, Jan. 19, 2015. She was born on Oct. 6, 1922 to Fred and Nellie (VanHemert) Bultman.
Funeral and committal services, followed by a lunch, were held on Thursday afternoon, Jan. 22 in the chapel at Raybrook Manor in Grand Rapids, with Rev. Fred M. Bultman officiating. Interment was made at Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont. In lieu of flowers, Nora requested that donations be made to Gideons International. Pamela Malakinian Weddell, 60, of Edina, Minnesota, and formerly of Troy, passed away on Jan. 12, 2015.
Visitation and services were already held.
