ROBERT PAXTON, MD
Robert E. Paxton, MD, (Dr. Bob), completed his life on earth and entered eternal life to be with his Lord as his faith assured him. He was born in Fort Wayne, Indiana on July 31, 1927 and died July 16, 2015. Preceding him in death was his mother and father; his only sibling, a brother, Earle A. Paxton; and a sister-in-law, Barbara Lee Paxton.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 12 at 11 a.m. at the First Congregational United Church of Christ of Fremont. A time of visitation will be held on Tuesday, Aug. 11 from 4 to 6 p.m. at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. The memorial services is a prearranged service by the deceased who produced it and wrote the script. However, the homily and comments will be the words of the individual presenters. Interment will be in the Circle of Life Garden at the First Congregational United Church of Christ.

Rose Amelia Kent, 96, of Casnovia, died peacefully on Monday morning, July 20, 2015.
The Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday at St. Francis Xaviar Catholic Church in Conklin. Visitation was held on Thursday at Moss Ridge Golf Club Hall, where a rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. Burial was made in St. Francis Xaviar Cemetery. Steven Francis Hingston, 56, of Newaygo, passed peacefully Monday afternoon, July 20, 2015 at home surrounded by family, after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Timothy E. Roberts, 60, of Machesney Park, passed away Saturday July 11, 2015 at his residence with family by his side.

JAMES LUBBERS
For 30 years James Dean Lubbers had valiantly fought against the debilitating effects of Parkinson’s disease, but on July 10, 2015 his battle ended. He passed away peacefully in his sleep at the Eldon Nursing and Rehab in Eldon, Missouri.
Friends and family will gather at Jack Lubbers home on Sunday afternoon, Aug. 23 between 2 and 5 p.m. to celebrate Jim’s life. Memorials are suggested in his name to the donor’s choice. Arrangements are under the direction of Phillips Funeral Home of Eldon, Missouri.

Ruth E. MacDonald Ellis, 93, of Hart, passed away on Tuesday, July 21, 2015. 
The Funeral Service for Mrs. Ellis will be held on Wednesday, July 29 at 1 p.m. at King Funeral Home and Cremation Services in Hart, with Pastor Steve Young officiating.  Interment will be made in the Hart Cemetery. Winnifred “Winnie” L.  Westenfelder, 91, of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday evening, July 21, 2015 at her home following a short illness. 
Funeral services were held on Monday, July 27 at the Aetna Calvary Church in White Cloud, with interment in Maple Grove Cemetery.  Friends may consider memorial contributions to the Newaygo County Fair Association or the Reginald and Winnifred Westenfelder Scholarship Fund to be established later with contributions being matched by the estate of Winnifred.
