Harry “Bud” Joseph Splitstone, 93, of Fremont, passed away on Sunday Aug. 10, 2014 at Transitional Health Services in Fremont.

Carol Hills, 81, of Fremont, passed away on Monday, Aug. 11, 2014 at the home of her dear friend, Rose Hekkema, who was by her side when she passed.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, Aug. 14 at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel, with Rev. Milo “Mike” J. Johnson, 81, of Fremont, passed away peacefully at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont on Wednesday morning, Aug. 13, 2014 following a short illness. 
The Funeral Service was held on Saturday afternoon, Aug. 16 at Fremont Christian Church (Disciples of Christ), with Rev. David Dickinson officiating. Interment was made in Sherman Township Cemetery. Gilbert Lee Rice, 68, of White Cloud, and formerly of Greenville, passed away on Saturday, Aug. 9, 2014 at Spectrum Health Blodgett Campus, East Grand Rapids.

Bernice (VanderWall, Perry) Frens, passed away in the early hours of Aug. 12, 2014, just a couple of weeks after celebrating her 90th birthday.
Funeral services for Bernice Frens were held on Saturday morning, Aug. 16 at Reeman Christian Reformed Church, with Pastors Les Vandyke and Nate Kooistra officiating.  Interment was made at Mt. Hope Cemetery in Shelby.
