 STEPHEN BRYANT
Fremont

Stephen A. Bryant, passed away on Jan. l8, 2010 in Fremont, after a short illness.
Funeral services were held on Thursday at Wealthy Park Baptist Church, with Pastor Ken Young officiating. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations to the Haiti Relief Fund one of which is Compassion International, or private memorial donations may be made to Our Hope, Camp Newaygo or Wealthy Park Baptist Church. The family is being served by Metcalf and Jonkhoff Funeral Service.

DAVID TANIS
Spring Lake

David L. Tanis, 63, of Spring Lake, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at Butterworth Hospital.
The funeral service for Dave will be held on Saturday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at Spring Lake Presbyterian Church, with Rev. Daniel Anderson officiating. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post #2326 Sgt. Alvin Jonker. Friends may meet the family on Friday, Jan. 29, from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m., at the VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven. Interment will be at Spring Lake Cemetery. Arthur Marinus Overton, 70, of White Cloud, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 in Traverse City.

Richard C. Brott, 79, of Montague, passed away on Sunday morning, Jan. 17, 2010 at the Oceana County Medical Care Facility in Hart.
Cremation has taken place in Muskegon. A memorial service was held on Friday, Jan. 22 at the Raymond Funeral Home in Hesperia, with Pastor Jean LaMahieu officiating. His cremains will be interred in the East Hesperia Cemetery in the Spring. Arrangements by Raymond Funeral Home, Inc. in Hesperia.

John R. Dykman, 65, of Fremont, passed away on Tuesday morning, Jan. 19, 2010 at Spectrum Health - Blodgett Campus in East Grand Rapids.
According to his wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no service or visitation. Suggested memorial is the Fremont United Methodist Church. Marva Gerencer, 74, of Bailey, died on Wednesday, Jan. 20, 2010 in Grand Rapids.
Funeral Mass was held on Saturday, Jan. 23 at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church in Newaygo, with Father Peter Schafer as Celebrant. A Rosary service was held on Friday at the McKinley Grant Chapel. Lora Fox, 56, of Hesperia, passed away on Monday, Jan. 18, 2010 at home.

Johnny Coleman Sr., 52, of Brohman, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 19, 2010 at his home.
A celebration of Johnny’s life will be held on Saturday, Feb. 6 at noon at the First Baptist Church of Woodland Park, with interment taking place on April 20 at the Merrill Township Cemetery. Lois Payne Miller was bon on March 17, 1924 in Newaygo to Grace and Verne Payne. She died on January 19, 2010 in Lisle Illinois.
Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service was held at the Newaygo United Church of Christ, Rev. R. McCarty officiating. Memorials may be sent to the charity of your choice, or Michigan Eye Bank, Katy Miller Kurtz Scholarship fund (Newaygo High School), or the American Cancer Society.

Elizabeth “Beth”  Bailey, 49, of Grant, died on Sunday, Jan. 24, 2010 at Leila and Cyrus, Poppen Hospice Residence in Muskegon.  
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 28 at 2 p.m. at the McKinley Newaygo Chapel, with Pastor Dan Fullmer officiating.     Visitation will be held two hours prior to service.
