Charles A. White, 61, of Gladwin, passed away at Mid Michigan Medical Center, Midland, on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018.

Funeral Services were conducted by Pastor Jerram Dee on Tuesday, Dec. 4, at Hall-Kokotovich Funeral Home in Gladwin. His final resting place will be Grandview Mountain in Tennessee, and a memorial will be placed at Grout Twp. Cemetery in Gladwin.

Desmer Gerald Walch (Des), 89, of Hesperia, passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018. 

It is Des’s request that his body be cremated and laid to rest by his son, Richard.  There will be no services. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Great Lakes Caring Hospice, 900 Cooper Street, Jackson, MI  49202 or a charity of your choice.

Herbert  Myers, Jr., 91, of Wyoming and formerly of Newaygo, passed away on Nov, 11, 2018 at home.

Terry Dean Mast, 75, of White Cloud passed away on Saturday, Dec. 1, 2018, at his home with his family by his side after a long battle with cancer.

Judy Ruth Haase, 72 of Hesperia, formerly of Byron Center, passed away Monday, Dec. 3, 2018 at her home following a short illness.

Mass of Christian Burial was held on Friday,  Dec. 7 at Christ The King Catholic Church in Hesperia with Rev. Father Peter Schafer presiding with interment in Christ The King Catholic Cemetery in Hesperia.

August 11, 1926 - November 29, 2018

Norene Elizabeth Wright, 92, of Flushing and Fremont, died Thursday, Nov. 29, 2018, at the Compassion home in White Cloud surrounded by her daughter and granddaughters.

Visitation and funeral were held in Flushing at Rossell Funeral Home and St. Robert Church in Flushing, on Dec. 5 and 6.  A gathering to celebrate her life will be held in Fremont from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Sunday, Dec. 16 at her home at 319 East Ave., Fremont, MI 49412.



Adolph Albert Steil IV, “Albert,” “Al,” “Skip,” 82, of Newaygo, passed away on Dec. 4, 2018 in Fremont. 

Visitation for Al will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 28 at Fields-McKinley Funeral and Cremation Services, 226 State Road, Newaygo, Michigan 49337.

In true Al “Style,” his cremains will be interred on Mackinac Island in the spring since he had the foresight to snag one of the last possible historical burial sites allowed there.

A memorial mass will be held on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 11  a.m. at Saint Bartholomew Catholic Church, 599 West Brooks Street, Newaygo with Father Steve Geerling officiating.

Carol Joan Premo (Ross) was born in Paducah, Kentucky on Dec. 15, 1937 to Rev. Ivan and Florence Ross. Sisters Barbra (Boone) and Debbie (Amon) joined the family later.

There will be a Memorial Service to celebrate Carol’s life on Friday, Dec. 14, at 11 a.m. at the Fremont United Methodist Church with Pastor Julie Fairchild officiating. There will be a time of visitation to meet with the family at the Church one hour prior to the service.
