L. MAXWELL LEE II
L. Maxwell “Max” Lee II, 92, of Fremont, formerly of Hesperia, passed away Sunday, Jan. 2, 2022 at his home following a short decline in his health.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 3, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. Military Honors will be conducted on Friday, March 4, at 12 p.m. under the auspices of the United States Navy at the First Congregational Church in Fremont. Funeral Services will be held on Friday, March 4, at 12 p.m. at the First Congregational Church 714 Hillcrest Fremont MI 49412. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.

Jan Louise Hoffman, 67, passed away after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by her slightly dysfunctional but loving family, on Monday evening, Jan. 3, 2022 at her home.
According to her wishes, cremation has taken place and a celebration of Jan’s life took place at the Fremont Moose Lodge on Saturday, Jan. 8.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be given to Vera’s House.

JAMES “Mr.S” SCHROVENWEVER
James “Mr.S” Schrovenwever went home to be with his Lord on Jan. 1, 2022.
He was born on July 6, 1948 and was an only (feisty) child to John and Henrietta Schroenwever who preceded him in death.
Visitation will start at 11 a.m. on Jan. 22 with memorial services at noon at Kent City Baptist Church with Pastor Chris Weeks officiating and luncheon to follow.
Ron Murray of Grant passed into Eternity with the Lord in the early hours of Tuesday, Jan. 4, 2022, at Newaygo County Compassion Home in Fremont. Family members were present during his short stay there and his passing. He remains in our hearts.
Because of Covid concerns the family held a Private Celebration of Life Funeral Service for family only on Saturday, Jan. 8, at Northland Church of Christ. Burial took place next to his wife Doris in Parkview Cemetery in Grant.

Robert “Bob” R. Church, 90, of Holton, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 5, 2022 at the Newaygo Medical Care Facility in Fremont following a long illness.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, Jan. 16, from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel 7193 W 48th Street Fremont MI 49412. Funeral Services with Military Honors will be held on Sunday, Jan. 16, 2:30 p.m. at the Crandell Funeral Home – Fremont Chapel. Interment will be in the Clark Cemetery in Fremont.
