A funeral service to honor Wanda’s life will be held at First Congregational Church in Fremont on June 18 at 2 p.m., with visitation a beginning at 1 p.m. Interment will follow at a later date at the Maple Grove Cemetery in Fremont.

Funeral Mass will be on the following day, June 13, starting at 11 a.m. at Saint Joseph Catholic Church at 965 E. Newell Street in White Cloud. A Graveside ceremony will follow Mass, with a luncheon immediately after the graveside ceremony.

He was born on January 31, 1934, in White Cloud, the son of Bert and Eloise (Sweeney) Richards. On September 19, 1959, Ron married the love of his life, Barbara Thumser, and together they shared a beautiful life of love, hard work and family.
Ron went to work for Gerber Products Co. and then entered the Marine Corps during the Korean War.

Born on November 13, 1948 in Bitely. Joseph was the child of Frank and Betty (Smith) Sokolowski. He attended high school at Walkerville and then served in the United States Army during the Vietnam conflict. He dedicated 20 years at Slocum Brother’s Tree Farm and 15 years to Dura Automotive.
A Celebration of Life will be at the American Legion Post 381 in Croton from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22, 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
